What is happening?
peaq is attending the TOKEN2049 conference in Dubai and hosting its very own DePIN2049 event.
Why is it important?
TOKEN2049 is a major global Web3 conference, where decision-makers and industry leaders connect to exchange ideas, network, and shape the future.
What does it mean for the community?
It’s an opportunity to grow the peaqosystem and showcase the DePINs building on peaq and their real-world impact.
Next week, peaq is heading to Dubai! And what better place to demonstrate the transformative power of the Economy of Things than the city that so abruptly grew from a tranquil desert landscape to a vibrant metropolis. A metropolis that’s now home to the Burj Khalifa — the literal peak of modern architecture. The symbolism is almost perfect.
But symbolism aside, let’s talk events. TOKEN2049 Dubai is where things are going down, and peaq will be there in full force. In fact, it’ll be all over Dubai’s bustling Web3 scene during the week of TOKEN2049, starting with:
On April 16, find the core team behind peaq at the Pre-TOKEN2049 Connect Meetup, co-hosted by Cypher Capital, Ceras Ventures, and Outlier Ventures. This is a great opportunity to connect and exchange ideas with top investors, founders, and Web3 industry leaders.

On Thursday, April 18, starting at 7:00 PM, peaq is bringing DePIN to TOKEN2049! In fact, the mission is to ensure that there isn’t a single person at TOKEN2049 who doesn’t hear about DePIN. So besides attending the main conference (read more about that below), peaq is also hosting a dedicated event on all things DePIN and the amazing real-world use cases they enable.
DePIN2049 will bring together the biggest and brightest teams in DePIN, crypto’s most exciting emerging space. The event will take place after the full first day of TOKEN2049, so the talks will be short, sweet, and to the point. Attendees will have more time to relax over some great food and drinks, create meaningful connections and, of course, discuss all things DePIN.
This is the perfect opportunity to meet the teams building the DePIN future and chat with them directly about their visions and projects. You’ll even be able to catch some exciting demos showcasing exactly how Web3 is transforming the way we interact with the physical world.
DePIN2049 is also going to be the last peaq event before the network goes live, so it’s a great chance to join the core team and peaqosystem DePINs in celebrating all the progress and innovation made over the past years.

On the second day of TOKEN2049, the peaqosystem will be taking the stage for a panel discussion on how DePIN brings practical, real-world adoption to the Web3 industry. Moderated by peaq’s co-founder Leonard Dorlöchter, the panel will bring together experts from ELOOP, Silencio, and NATIX to talk about all things DePIN. They’ll cover topics ranging from what DePINs are to how the technology can fix current real-world issues, the interconnection between DePINs and AI, and much more.
