Just three months into 2025 and peaq is already hitting all kinds of crazy milestones. Like 3,500,000 live wallets, for instance. That’s 3.5M humans and onchain machines interacting and transacting on peaq on a daily basis. Talk about traction.

And that’s without even getting into all the other news, like the release of Universal Machine Time, the first tokens launching on peaq, XMAQUINA’s Genesis Auction, the introduction of DePAI, and AquaSave migrating from Solana to peaq.

Everything onchain

3.5M+ wallets live on peaq

Since its launch in November, peaq has seen a massive increase in users, both human and machine. At the end of 2024, there were 258,000 wallets live on the network. Now, just three months later, that number has grown to 3,500,000. That’s a massive 1,256% increase in humans and machines using peaq, with an average of 36,634 joining the network per day — just in Q1.

9M+ transactions

It’s not just the number of wallets on peaq that’s surging. All of these DePIN users and their devices are constantly interacting with each other and the network — which is evident in the growing number of transactions on peaq. From launch up to now, over 9 million transactions have been conducted on peaq, with almost 7 million happening in the past three months. That’s an increase of 235% since the beginning of 2025.

1.7B+ $PEAQ staked

Currently, peaqonauts are staking over 1.7 billion $PEAQ tokens on peaq portal and earning rewards for helping to secure the network. That’s roughly 40% of the token's current total supply staked to power the daily operations of the Machine Economy.

Silencio launched its token

On January 24, 2025, Silencio became the first DePIN to launch its token ($SLC) on peaq.

Bistroo token went live on peaq

On the same day, Bistroo migrated 25% of its BIST token supply from Ethereum to peaq, helping make January 24 a major milestone in peaq’s history, with two tokens going live.

XMAQUINA sold out its first DEUS Genesis auction wave on peaq

XMAQUINA successfully launched and sold out the first wave of its DEUS Genesis auction, raising $900,000 and adding 1,000+ new members to its DAO.

Teneo raised $3M in seed funding

Teneo raised $3 million in their second seed round, led by RockawayX, Borderless, and Generative Ventures.

Combinder secured $500,000 in pre-seed funding

Combinder successfully raised $500,000 in their pre-seed funding round, led by Outlier Ventures, 1kx, Moonrock Capital, and MN Capital.

DATS protected $1 billion in assets

DATS Project protected more than $1 billion dollars worth of assets from malicious actors through its decentralized cybersecurity DePIN.

A peek at peaq

peaq introduced Universal Machine Time (UMT)

UMT (Universal Machine Time) is the first onchain implementation of the Precision Time Protocol (PTP). It lets any machine or DePIN sync its clock with the network and timestamp any event with extreme precision, unlocking new possibilities and use cases for builders. UMT is peaq’s first contribution to Intercognitive — the collaborative standards body for DePIN and DePAI.

USDT went live on peaq

USDT, the world’s largest stablecoin with a market cap of more than $140 billion, is now available on peaq via Stargate's Hydra integration.

peaq apps preinstalled on JamboPhone 2

Silencio became the first peaq DePIN to come pre-installed on Jambo’s Web3-based mobile phones and join its app store. Two more mobile-first DePINs on peaq will soon also have their apps pre-installed on Jambo and placed in a dedicated peaq folder on the phones.

peaq tested 67,000 TPS

peaq tested an upgrade to its throughput on a private test network, successfully hitting a block time of under 0.4 seconds (down from the current 6s block time) as well as 67,000 transactions per second (up from the current 10,000 TPS). These upgrades will be coming to public testnet in Q2 and to mainnet in Q3 of 2025.

Major runtime upgrade

peaq got a major runtime upgrade that expanded its active validator cap from 32 to 42, increased the cap on the number of delegators to 48 per node, and introduced a variety of other changes, such as reward distribution based on network sessions, not every new block.

Get Real’s Season 1 beta concluded

The beta season of peaq’s Get Real campaign concluded with 42,000+ total participants. More than 18 million $PEAQ was distributed in rewards to the top 15,000 peaqonauts dominating the leaderboards. Most importantly, the beta season provided key insights into the campaign and platform that are being used to ensure a smooth and streamlined user experience from Season 2 onward.
